Adding New Desktop Windows 7 Gadgets

To add a new gadget to your desktop, follow these steps:
1. Open the Control Panel and select Desktop Gadgets. (Alternately,  right-click anywhere on the desktop and then select Gadgets from  the pop-up menu.)
2. When the Gadgets window appears, doubleclick  the gadget you wish to add.
Once you ve added a gadget to the desktop, you can position it anywhere  you want by clicking and dragging the gadget with your mouse. To  remove a gadget from your desktop, hover over the gadget and then click  the X.

Since gadgets are little programs, they draw some system resources all the time.  In addition, those gadgets that connect to the Internet for information (such as  the Weather and Stocks gadgets) constantly use a small portion of your Internet  bandwidth. If you re concerned about conserving system resources, you probably  want to minimize the number of gadgets on your desktop.
