Hiding the Taskbar

By default, the taskbar is constantly displayed. But maybe you don t want  it taking up all that screen real estate all the time. In which case, you can   auto-hide  the taskbar, so that it doesn t appear onscreen until you  move your cursor to the bottom of the screen which then causes the  taskbar to slide back up into view.  To auto-hide the taskbar, follow these steps:
1. Right-click anywhere on the taskbar and select Properties.  (Alternately, open the Control Panel and select Taskbar and Start  Menu.)
2. When the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties dialog box appears,  select the Taskbar tab.
3. Check the Auto-Hide the Taskbar option.
4. Click OK.
